The National Energy Group is currently the world’s largest coal production company, thermal power generation company, wind power generation company and coal-to-oil coal chemical company. In April 2022, the executive meeting of the State Council deployed that it will add 300 million tons of coal production capacity this year through nuclear capacity increase, expansion and new production.
Zhang Yuxin, spokesman for the National Energy Group, said that the company’s self-produced coal exceeded 50 million tons per month in the first half of the year, and strengthened the operation and maintenance of thermal power equipment and fine maintenance, and thermal power generation accounted for about 17% of the country. Transport units improved the efficiency of marshalling, efficiently organized loading and unloading, and shipping volume increased by 12% year-on-year.
Overall, in the first half of the year, the national energy group produced 300 million tons of coal, an increase of 6.2% year-on-year, and sales volume of 390 million tons; power generation capacity of 526.4 billion kWh, an increase of 1% year-on-year; The railway transport volume is 230 million tons; the loading volume of Huanghua Port and Tianjin Port is 120 million tons; and the shipping volume is 110 million tons.
