Bloomberg reports that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is pushing to cut or eliminate property taxes, aiming to score a major conservative win ahead of a possible 2028 run. The move targets local governments’ biggest revenue source and has sparked concerns over funding essential services. DeSantis and CFO Blaise Ingoglia are auditing local budgets for waste. They write:
