Electric Hydrogen and HIF Global are partnering to advance clean fuel production using American-made electrolyzers, according to Offshore Energy. Electric Hydrogen manufactures its electrolyzer stacks in Massachusetts and supporting systems in Texas, aiming to deliver low-cost, large-scale hydrogen for hard-to-decarbonize industries. HIF Global is building one of the worldโ€™s largest e-methanol facilities in Texas, using Electric Hydrogenโ€™s technology to produce fuels for ships, planes, and cars. The project highlights US leadership in clean energy, reducing reliance on Chinese tech, and supporting economic growth. HIF is also expanding globally, with projects in Chile, Australia, and beyond, and recently earned the first US approval under Californiaโ€™s Low Carbon Fuel Standard for e-fuels. They write:

Electric Hydrogenโ€™s electrolyzers are engineered and manufactured in the U.S. The electrochemical stacks, regarded as the heart of the system, are built in the companyโ€™s gigafactory in Devens, Massachusetts, while the remainder of the equipment is built in Texas. It is understood that the manufacturerโ€™s goal is to deliver low-cost, high-volume hydrogen for use in critical industries that canโ€™t decarbonize any other way. […]

As for Electric Hydrogen, the manufacturer recently acquired compatriot hydrogen project developer Ambient Fuels in a deal aimed at expanding the companyโ€™s project pipeline and strengthening its ability to co-develop clean hydrogen facilities with customers.

Furthermore, Norway-based classification society DNV completed a technical review of Electric Hydrogenโ€™s turnkey electrolyzer solution, HYPRPlant, confirming its compliance with current industry standards for process design, safety, and manufacturing practices. As disclosed, the HYPRPlant uses the companyโ€™s proprietary proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer technology to deliver hydrogen made with renewable energy.
