GE Vernova reported strong second-quarter 2026 results, with double-digit growth in revenue and orders driven by its Power and Electrification businesses, according to Utility Dive. The company’s order backlog reached $176 billion, supported by rising demand for gas turbines, transformers, and grid equipment as utilities and data centers invest in expanding electricity infrastructure. GE Vernova also expects its gas turbine backlog to continue growing through the end of the year.
However, GE Vernova’s Wind business continued to struggle, with wind equipment orders falling 40% year over year due to weak US demand and policy uncertainty. Despite these challenges, the company said future opportunities in wind farm repowering and continued investment in electric grid infrastructure could support long-term growth.
