Target and Ulta Beauty will end their in-store and online partnership in August 2026, concluding a collaboration that began in 2021. The move comes as Target faces sluggish sales and Ulta seeks greater efficiency, having already paused new store openings within Target locations, according to Bloomberg. They write:
Target Corp. and Ulta Beauty Inc. will be concluding their store partnership, the companies said, ending a popular offering that has drawn shoppers interested in trendy beauty products to the big-box retailer.

Ulta has said that the partnership helps broaden the brand’s reach. It said earlier this year that it has taken a pause in opening more Ulta stores at Target as it looks for ways to be more efficient.
