SIA also endorsed a forecast from the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics organization projecting global chip sales will rise 90% to $1.5 trillion in 2026 and exceed $1.9 trillion in 2027. According to SIA, accelerating demand for AI infrastructure and advanced computing platforms is driving the industry’s rapid expansion.

The association said the growth underscores the importance of policies that help the United States maintain leadership in semiconductor innovation, manufacturing, and national security.
