COSCO Shipping has suspended operations at Balboa Port, located at the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal. The move follows a ruling by the Supreme Court of Panama that annulled the port’s operating contract previously held by a subsidiary of CK Hutchison Holdings, reports Reuters.
COSCO has instructed customers to redirect containers and make alternative shipping arrangements while the situation is resolved.
