At least two Iranian tankers carrying crude oil successfully “went dark” by switching off tracking systems and slipped past a US blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, continuing Iran’s oil exports despite sanctions pressure, as reported by Bloomberg.
The ships—part of a larger “shadow fleet”—moved through restricted waters and into open sea, delivering millions of barrels of crude, with satellite data suggesting dozens of similar vessels are still attempting similar routes.
