Bloomberg reports that Qatar is preparing to quickly ramp up liquefied natural gas (LNG) production once the Strait of Hormuz fully reopens, with plans to restore about 50% of capacity within one month and roughly 80% within two months.

The rapid recovery plan reflects QatarEnergy’s efforts to stabilize exports after months of disruption caused by regional conflict and shipping blockages in the Gulf. However, full restoration of output is expected to take years because some production facilities were damaged during earlier attacks.

The expected rebound in Qatari LNG supply is seen as significant for global energy markets, as Qatar is one of the world’s largest LNG exporters and its output directly affects gas prices in Europe and Asia.
