TikTok Shop has generated about $64 billion in global sales since 2023, but marketers are increasingly finding that short-form videos excel at grabbing attention while longer-form storytelling is more effective at building brand loyalty and driving sales.

The Robin Report argues that brands such as Nike and Adidas are leading a shift toward cinematic, story-driven content. Research cited from Ipsos found that ads built around stories are three times more memorable and twice as effective at boosting sales than traditional product-focused advertising. As a result, more companies are investing in documentaries, short films, and entertainment-style content to create deeper emotional connections with consumers.
