
NVIDIA has acquired about $500 million worth of rights to purchase shares in Corning as part of a broader strategic partnership focused on expanding AI infrastructure, reports Bloomberg.
The deal gives Nvidia the option to buy millions of Corning shares at a set price, while supporting Corning’s plans to scale up production of fiber-optic technology used in data centers.
This partnership is aimed at meeting surging demand for high-speed data transmission driven by AI systems, with increased manufacturing capacity helping support Nvidia’s growing ecosystem of AI hardware and services.
