Aamer Madhani of Reuters reports that President Trump threatened a 200% tariff on European wines and spirits if the EU proceeds with a 50% tariff on American whiskey. The EU’s tariff is a response to U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs. Trump’s warning is part of ongoing trade tensions, with U.S. bourbon makers urging a return to zero tariffs on spirits between the U.S. and EU. Madhani writes:
