Happy Halloween to all you cat and dog lovers out there. I know you’re out there because you tell me. But why do we bring them into our lives knowing their fate? It’s hard to imagine life without them. It is hard when they leave us. It is not a journey for the faint of heart. But it is a journey worth taking. But the end is the end. And I know, through my conversations with you, your heartbreak. Over the winter, we lost our cat Phantom to a coyote. There was no keeping her inside. She needed to be out. When I think about Halloween and black cats, I think of Phantom. Fred and Stan miss you.
