The US Census Bureau reported that new orders for manufactured goods fell 0.3% in June to $656.5 billion, marking the second consecutive monthly decline. Shipments decreased 0.2% to $652.1 billion, while unfilled orders continued rising, reaching $1.59 trillion, up 0.6%.
Durable goods orders increased 0.5%, led by computers and electronic products, while nondurable goods orders declined 1.2%. Manufacturing inventories edged up 0.1% to $962.9 billion, showing continued growth but slower momentum across the sector.
