China has successfully recovered the booster of its Long March 10B rocket using a floating sea-based net system, marking a major step forward in reusable rocket technology. The achievement makes China the second country after the United States to demonstrate orbital-class booster recovery.
The breakthrough is part of Beijing’s goal to become a leading space power by 2030 and reduce launch costs. While SpaceX remains ahead in reusable rocket operations, China’s progress could accelerate its ability to deploy large satellite networks and compete in the global space industry.
