Do you love oysters and crêpes? Your Survival Guy and Gal do, and when we’re in Paris, we make a point of seeking them out.
Starting from our base camp at Le Bristol, we’ll venture out for a dozen at Breizh Café, a small crêperie in Le Marais, in the 3rd arrondissement.
Coming from the East Coast of the United States, where oysters are plentiful, it’s such a treat to have them from Brittany when we’re in Paris.
These were No. 3s (the smaller the number, the larger the oyster)—a perfect size—served over a bed of solid ice cubes.
Now, the reason I mention the ice is that it’s a rare commodity in Paris—and sometimes back home. This simple presentation is what I want you to experience.
And it’s here—the only place I can recall—where oysters are served with a side of bread and butter, washed down with brut bio cidre.
Action Line: Come for the crêpes. Stay for the oysters and cidre.
