When Warren Buffett is a net seller of stocks, you may want to double-check your exposure to stocks. One of the more difficult tasks for the armchair investor is to sell. To admit defeat. He counts how far ahead he still is, right up until itโs too late.
When you look back at the NASDAQ index during the tech bust and see how many years it took investors to get back to even, itโs frightening. And itโs easy to forget that many stocks never came out of it. Thatโs the danger of not being diversified. Imagine if you retired at the beginning of it all.
