Saudi Aramco has told at least two European refiners they will receive no Saudi crude in October, after drone attacks damaged three pumping stations on the kingdom’s East-West pipeline.
The disruption is forcing European refiners to find alternative supplies. Poland’s Orlen, for example, has already bought additional crude from Norway, Britain, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and the Americas.
Saudi Arabia expects to partially restore the pipeline within days and reach full capacity within about six weeks, but the timeline remains uncertain. The supply disruption is adding pressure to an already tight global oil market.
