Aurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing company, provided engineering expertise for Wisk’s Generation 6 aircraft, the first candidate for an FAA-certified autonomous passenger air taxi, which recently completed its first flight.
Aurora supported battery development, aerodynamics, guidance and control systems, and materials testing to ensure safety, stability, and performance. The aircraft successfully performed vertical takeoff, hover, and stabilized flight maneuvers.
Aurora continues to assist Wisk in validating the Gen 6’s design, flight systems, and autonomous capabilities, laying the groundwork for the world’s first all-electric, 4-seat autonomous air taxi.
