Your Survival Guyโ€™s go-to breakfast is two fried eggs, coffee, and a fistful of vitamins and minerals. When I buy my eggs, I am not price sensitive, and I donโ€™t think you should be either. Egg inflation is not going to break the bank. I love my eggs.

When choosing between pasture-raised, free-range, organic, etc., my rule of thumb is to buy the most expensive options available at my local grocer. That means pasture raised. But I know thereโ€™s a lot of trust involved here.

I donโ€™t know anything about the pasture conditions. Is there a bully in the pasture making life tough for others? Thatโ€™s no way to live. What I do know or who I know are the owners of the store, who are friends of mine and give me the rundown on the source. I like that.
You can get into the weeds by reading about pasture or free range, but it basically comes down to spending time in a pasture or having access to a pasture. That access may be a tiny hole in the barn, and letโ€™s face it, if youโ€™re with all your friends in the hen house, why leave? Pasture-raised chickens, so Iโ€™m told, get some time in the great outdoors.
