Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI chatbot, has publicly filed its IPO prospectus, reporting $16.3 billion in revenue in the first half of 2026, surpassing its total revenue of $4.6 billion for all of 2025. The filing marks a major step toward its public market debut, with shares expected to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker ANT, Yahoo Finance reports.

Despite its rapid growth, Anthropic faces enormous costs. It spent $9 billion on AI infrastructure during the first six months of 2026 and reported an $80.7 billion net loss, largely driven by non-cash accounting charges. The company also plans hundreds of billions of dollars in future cloud computing and infrastructure commitments, relying heavily on partners such as Amazon and Google.
