On Sunday, Your Survival Guy brought our boat from Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, back to Newport, Rhode Island. The wind was blowing a bit from the south-southeast, with waves hitting off to port.
It had a bit of a washing-machine feel with steep-faced chop mixed in with some rollers. As we got closer to Newport, rounding Castle Hill, the water was more protected, and it was smooth sailing to Fort Adams.
