Global semiconductor sales reached $403.3 billion in the second quarter of 2026, a 35.1% increase from the first quarter, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association. Sales in June alone totaled $134.5 billion, up 123.6% from June 2025 and 9.7% from May.

Chip sales increased across every major region, with the Americas, Asia Pacific, China, Europe and Japan all recording strong year-over-year growth. The Americas posted the largest increase at 160.9%, followed by Asia Pacific at 124.4% and China at 112.8%.

The strong results reflect continued demand for semiconductors powering artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies. The SIA expects global semiconductor sales to exceed $1.5 trillion in 2026, highlighting the industry’s rapid growth and importance to the global technology economy.
