You may recall the death of balanced investing. It was all over the place as interest rates were reset to a more palatable level. Did Your Survival Guy recommend selling out? Of course not. The balanced approach never goes out of style for me, a patient, well-tempered investor.

Letโ€™s not forget how far weโ€™ve come with interest rates.

And letโ€™s not forget how much debt weโ€™re looking at now as a country.

Even if stocks continue their climb, isnโ€™t it reasonable to believe this canโ€™t go on forever? Which leads to the question: Survival Guy what do we do? Itโ€™s hard to just stand there and do nothing, especially when the you-know-what hits the fan. Why not plan beforehand?

Thatโ€™s why I like bonds as an anchor regardless of historical prices. Instead, I look toโ€”and am comforted byโ€”the reality that bonds get paid before common shareholders.

Action Line: Bonds havenโ€™t looked this good in a long time. Letโ€™s talk.
